What production requirements apply to high-clarity silicone tubing?

High-clarity silicone tubing is sensitive to deviations at every stage of production, and the impact of any shortcoming is immediately visible in the finished tube as haze, cloudiness, or color shift. On raw materials, medical-grade or optical-grade base polymer is required, free of impurities; reinforcing fillers must be selected and dispersed to avoid introducing scattering particles. On vulcanization, platinum-catalyzed addition cure is the only practical choice — peroxide-cured tubing produces byproducts that degrade transparency progressively over time. Temperature uniformity across the mixing, extrusion, and cure stages must be tightly controlled; localized overheating generates gel inclusions that act as scattering centers in the tube wall. On the production environment, particulate contamination is the primary quality risk for clear tubing: forming and packaging must be done in a cleanroom to prevent foreign particles from becoming embedded in or adhering to the tube surface. Ruixiang’s high-clarity medical silicone tubing is produced in GMP-compliant Class 100,000 cleanrooms using a platinum-catalyzed cure process, with secondary vulcanization to eliminate residual volatiles and internal stress.
